Sandra is taking Rosella the Camera through Siem Reap and Phnom Penh, Cambodia in January. Back in 2009, Sandra travelled to India and fell so much in love with the place that she went back early last year; the culture, the character and the colours were a sensory overload that left her hungry for more. The opportunity to travel again in January came up and she wanted to find a place that was still unsaturated by tourists and yet equally receptive to foreigners. Cambodia fit the bill and she is counting down the days!
When Sandra read about the project, she thought it would dovetail so well with her travels through Cambodia. Her trip will see herself off the beaten track, through villages and community life. To be able to capture a moment in time will be so precious for everyone.
Sandra’s favourite photo is a picture she took of her two kids while they were walking down to the Bogey Hole, a sort of iconic spot in Newcastle. Normally her kids are fighting like cats and dogs but sometimes they time out and occasionally share the most beautiful moments.
