Dan and Tasmin Brown are the co-founders of Portrait Equality and the parents of a little girl Waverley with a little boy Charleston.
Dan Brown is an investment banker and business manager who has used his business and commercial acumen to turn this passion project into a reality. Dan graduated with honours earning a Bachelors of Science in Business from The Citadel in South Carolina USA. He furthered his studies by completing his post graduate law degree at the University of Sydney. Dan enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, and spending time with his children. In his spare time he is also his wife’s dedicated photography assistant.
Tasmin is the creative mind behind Portrait Equality as well as being a professional family and children’s photographer in Sydney, Australia. She is a Texan native who earned a degree in Zoology from the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated with academic honours. She has also worked for 11 years as a Professional Project Manager (PMP) for large water infrastructure engineering Design and Construction projects, her company providing clean water to many of the same communities she photographs. As a member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography AIPP and a Getty Images represented photographer, her videos and photographs have been published around the world. She also manages the team of volunteers to ensure that the cameras are fully utilised by the caring individuals who take them into remote communities to give precious family portraits and that their stories are here for you to enjoy.
