She loves all things creative, particularly photography, textiles and design. She has a growing love for travel and this March, Kiara will be travelling to Nepal with Rosella the camera and a media team from Create International to shoot a film for the Maithili people. The film will be a story of hope and redemption portrayed through the local culture and customs and in the local language. The team will also be gathering information and media about the Maithili people to put together a website on their return.
She is very happy to be a part of Portrait Equality as she believes in the power of photography to bring transformation to individuals and communities. On her previous trips to Nepal she learnt that it is unusual for people to have a photograph of their loved ones. She brought joy to them by simply taking a photo on her digital camera and showing them a picture on the screen and she can’t wait to see the joy light up their faces when she can gift them a photo to call their own.
