Her other love is portrait and wildlife photography and she has volunteered doing wildlife photography in South Africa and events for torture and trauma victims in Australia.
Lisa will be travelling with her Mum for another trip to the ‘Stans’, they will be visiting Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia with local tour companies on a private tour that they designed themselves. They will venture out into the rural areas where mud volcanoes hiss and bubble and where shepherds quietly tend their sheep. Allowing them to meet local families and farmers where they hope to give them wonderful family portraits that will last for the next few generations.
Lisa’s favourite photo is of her Mum in a tent in Turkmenistan where they camped near the Darvaza gas crater. Whilst she slept under the stars staying with nomads in the Pakistan desert back in the 1960s (when she left the overland bus that broke down with three other travellers), she’d never actually slept in a tent.
