Lou is travelling with Bluey the Camera to Indonesia this March and Vietnam and hopefully Cambodia in September, where she will step away from western traditions to discover something brand new, something off the tourist path. She wants to get inspiration from people, colours, atmospheres, landscapes to spur creativity. Lou doesn’t find it that easy to connect with strangers but photography is one way to break the ice. To look at people, the way they dress, the way they move, the diversity of characters is really fascinating to Lou.
She thinks Portrait Equality is a great opportunity to use her photography skills to help people and make them happy; to put a smile on people’s faces. Interacting with people through photography is very rewarding and exciting for Lou and the simple fact of giving a portrait and sharing a moment is an amazing promise.
Lou’s favourite family photo is one with her little brother, it was taken when they were kids and she really cherishes this memory. Her Mum took the picture which reminds her of the importance of family so far away from home.
